Building Technology Consultants, Inc. (BTC) is happy to announce that Engineer, Sean Hahn, has earned his Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) credential from the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
IIBEC is an international organization of professionals who specialize in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall specification, and design. IIBEC's mission is to advance the profession of building enclosure consultants. BTC has been a longstanding supporter of this organization, with several staff members who are active members.
IIBEC extends its membership to consultants and industry members worldwide, and proudly maintains a current membership total of approximately 3,600. The association provides its members with educational resources and programs which help explain the practical application of roofing, and waterproofing technology, as well as sound building enclosure theory.
Consistent with BTC’s ongoing practice of encouraging employees to actively participate in industry organizations, contribute to such organizations, and advance their expertise through continuing education, Sean's recent accomplishment is indicative of his and BTC’s commitment to providing clients with superior quality assessments of their buildings. The IIBEC REWO credential indicates that both Sean and BTC uphold a high standard for providing impartial, informed observations and documentation relating to the construction and assessments of exterior wall systems.
Sean began his career with BTC in 2017 as an Associate Engineering Consultant, shortly after graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering. In June 2021, after becoming a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Sean was promoted to the position of Engineer at BTC.
Sean's diligent work ethic and positive attitude are noted amongst his peers and clients alike. His skill set and enthusiasm for the work BTC does continues to benefit project collaboration and help our team soar to new heights.
Congratulations, Sean!
