Industry Expert, Ms. Rochelle Jaffe, Now Affiliated With BTC

Building Technology Consultants, Inc. (BTC) is pleased to announce that Ms. Rochelle C. Jaffe, Ar., SE, CCS, CSISM is now an affiliate team member of BTC as Senior Consultant.

Ms. Jaffe has specialized in identifying causes of and resolving problems in building facades and masonry construction for 28 years.  She provides a unique perspective, because she can assess both architectural and structural aspects of the building that she evaluates.  She became affiliated with BTC in 2015 and continues to operate her own consulting firm, Rochelle C. Jaffe Consulting, PC, which she established in 2012.

Her professional experience includes:

• Evaluation and rehabilitation design of masonry structures, stucco, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), ceramic tile and adhered veneer.
• Assessments of and providing solutions for building facade problems.
• Structural analysis and design of masonry, concrete (including prestressed and precast), steel, and timber structures, components, and connections
• Field inspections, condition surveys, and field testing.
• Development of structural and architectural specifications, drawings, and other contract documents.
• Construction contract administration and observation.
• Peer review of new design and repair design.
• Post construction assessment of compliance with contract document and building code requirements.
• Litigation support and expert witness testimony.

Ms. Jaffe is an active member of several associations including American society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), and The Masonry Society (TMS) where she is a Fellow and has served on the Board of Directors and Chairperson of several committees and subcommittees.  She is a highly sought after contributor to the industry with nearly 100 published technical articles and lectures/presentations completed over the course of her career.
